Daniela Diakova was born in Sliven, Bulgaria.
She has started her musical education in the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, Sofia, in the opera singing class of the great opera singer Hristina Angelakova. After her graduation Daniela Diakova specializes in "Accademia D'arte e Lirica", Osimo, Italy. There she makes her professional debut on opera stage in the role of Cherubino in the Mozart’s masterpiece “The Marriage of Figaro”.
After her specialization she returns to Bulgaria and is immediately appointed a lead soloist of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, as well as of the State Opera Bourgas. Daniela Diakova triumphs in all central mezzosoprano roles on all Bulgarian and international opera stages (in Austria, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Japan, etc.). On the stage of the Prague State Opera she debuts in the role of Amneris (“Aida”), directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi. Later on the production is performed in all Japan with huge success. Another production of “Aida” with the participation of Daniela Diakova is of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, directed by Hugo De Ana. She has the privilege to work with this director also in the productions of “Samson and Delilah” and “Norma”.
Daniela Diakova’s best roles are Carmen (“Carmen”), Adalgisa (“Norma”), Eboli (“Don Carlos”), Amneris (“Aida”), Delilah (“Samson and Delilah”), Azucena (“Troubadour”), Preziosilla (“La Forza Del Destino”), Princess de Bouillon (“Adriana Lecouvreur”), and many others.
