Diplomed on Orchestral conduction (Conservatorio di Parma, 2007), Choir music and choir conduction (Conservatorio di Ferrara, 2003), Opera direction (R. Accademia filarmonica di Bologna, 2001), Piano (Coservatorio di Bologna, 1996). He perfected his skills in lyrical singing (baritone) with Paolo Barbacini. He attended a Masterclass with world famous coductors as Josè Cura, Eliahu Inbal, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Ottavio Dantone, Antonello Allemandi, Marco Guidarini, Claus Peter Flor, Neil Tompsohn. He is musical director of the lyrical festival of Colorno (Parma, Italy), in which he directed Il trovatore (June 2018), Cavalleria rusticana (July 2018), Rigoletto (July 2018), Nabucco (July 2016), Madama Butterfly (July 2015), Il barbiere di Siviglia (July 2014), La traviata (July 2013). On December 31, 2018 he made his debut at the Teatro Regio in Parma in the conduction of the Vedova allegra of Lehar. At the Bonci theater in Cesena, he debuted Pagliacci di Leoncavallo on 13 January 2019, and on 1 December 2018 he conducted Tosca di Puccini. On 18 November 2018 he directed Un ballo in maschera by Verdi at the Rossini theater in Lugo (RA) On August 2018 he debuted Aida in Piazza Garibaldi in Cervia (FC, Italy) and La bohème in Plautina Arena of Sarsina (FC, Italy). On July 2018 he conducted the two final concerts of the illustrious Accademia Bruson of Busseto (PR, Italy). On April 2018 he debuted Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera at Bonci Theatre of Cesena and Puccini’s Le Villi at Teatro Consorziale of Budrio (BO, Italy). On 9th December 2017 he opened the Rossini Celebrations in Bologna performing Verdi’s Messa per Rossini and pieces from other authors in San Petronio Basilica, according to the original the project, until that date unrealized, from Verdi himself. Still inside Rossini Celebrations, he conduced on 28th May 2018 the little executed Messa di Gloria by Rossini in Santa Maria dei Servi of Bologna. At the Verdi Theatre of Fiorenzuola (PC, Italy) he conducted L’elisir d'amore by Donizetti (2nd December 2017) and at Rossini Theatre of Lugo (RA, Italy) Verdi’s Nabucco (12th November 2017). On 28th September 2017 he led at the PalaCavicchi of Cento (FE, Italy) a recital by the great flutist Andrea Griminelli with the orchestra Città di Ferrara. On August 2017 he conducted Tosca by Puccini in Montespertoli (FI, Italy) and La traviata in Plautina Arena of Sarsina. On 10th June 2017 he directed Cavalleria Rusticana at Verdi Theatre of Busseto. On 13th July 2016 he obtained a great success from both public and critics for the conduction of La traviata at the castle of Ferrara, producted by the municipal theatre. Still in summer ’16, he led two productions of L’elisir d’amore in Sissa (PR, Italy) and Padernello (BS, Italy). At the Auditorium Manzoni of Bologna he directed, on 9th November 2016, Orff’s Carmina Burana on live streaming. At the Duse Theatre of Bologna he conducted La traviata, L’elisir d’amore and the Beethoven’s 9th Symphony respectively on 30th November, 28th April and 19th April 2016. In Ravenna, at the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare, he performed Bach’s Johannes Passion on 28th March 2016. At Michelangelo Theatre of Modena he led L’elisir d’amore on 7th February 2016 and Il barbiere di Siviglia on 20th december 2015. On 27th October 2015 he conducted with a great success from both public and critics Orff’s Carmina Burana at Duse Theatre of Bologna. On 1st February 2015 at Carlo Felice Theatre of Genova he conducted both the Theatre’s choir and orchestra in a concert performing classical and contemporary musics (Bach, Gounod, Salandrini). On 20th July 2014 he has been the choir Master performing Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana in Teatro del Silenzio of Lajatico (PI, Italy) with Andrea Bocelli and the direction of Placido Domingo. Still with Andrea Bocelli, he has been choir Master also on 7th September 2004 at Celebrity Fight Night’s the gala concert under the conduction of Zubin Metha in Palazzo Vecchio (Florence) and on 10 June 2014 during CONI’s 100 years celebrations, which were presented live streamed on RAI 1 by Paolo Bonolis. On 13th April 2014 he conducted Verdi’s Requiem in Basilica di Sant’Andrea della Valle in Rome. On 2nd Dicember 2013 he partecipated as choir Master at the concert made for Bambin Gesù Children Hospital, performed in Aula Paolo VI in Vatican City, with Andrea Bocelli and the presence of the highest offices of Italian State and the Vatican.
From 2011 to 2013 he has been choir Master in Fondazione Teatro della Fortuna in Fano (PU, Italy), task that allowed him to cooperate with world famous artists as Michele Pertusi, Giovanni Meoni, Eva Mei, Luca Canonici, Bruno Praticò, Andrea Bocelli. He has been invited to lead the Emilia Romagna Regional Orchestra A. Toscanini in Parma three times, during the festival “L’orchestra Toscanini incontra i giovani talenti” (Toscanini Orchestra meets young talents): on 18th June 2009 during a concert fully dedicated to Mozart (Symphony n°40; Concert for piano and orchestra K271; Le Nozze di Figaro’s ouverture; aria “Martern aller Arten” from Die Entführung aus dem Serail); on 12th June 2010, perfoming pieces from Beethoven (Egmont’s ouverture), Paganini (Concert n°1 for violin and orchestra), Rachmaninov (Concert n°3 for piano and orchestra); on 29th June 2012, playing music from Weber (2nd concert for clarinet), Rota (Concerto for trombone), Saint Saens (Intro and Rondò capriccioso for violino and orchestra), Glazunov (Concert for sax).
In summer 2010 he conducted Bari’s Symphonic Orchestra performing three concerts in Bari’s province with musics from Mendelssohn (Ein Sommernachtstraum), Borodin (Polovtsian Dances) e Čajkovskij (Suite n°3), obtaining a great success from both public and critics. He also led the Florence Operafestival’s orchestra as well as its choir during a lyric-symphonic concert in Pietrasanta (LU, Italy) in which the tenor Luca Canonici participated too. During 2010 he has been the assistant of Daniele Callegari for the preparation of Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra at the Regio Theatre of Parma and of Gianluca Martinenghi in the making of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut in Luciano Pavarotti Theatre of Modena. On 12th December 2007 he conducted the symphonic orchestra “A. Boito” of Parma, performing the 3rd symphony by Schubert, during the Christmas Concert organized by Vaticano City, worldwide-live streamed from Vatican’s satellite channel. On 2006 he has been finalist at the International contest for young conductors “F. Capuana” of Spoleto (PG, Italy). On 1st July 2009 he performed Giorgio Germont in Verdi’s La traviata at the Regina Theatre of Cattolica (RN, Italy). During 2013 he has been Giorgio Germont one again in Sissa and Rigoletto in Parma and Brescia. In November 2007 he made his debut in a completely new performance in the field of world lieder music: in fact, he performed Schubert's die Winterreise cycle in its entirety, accompanying himself to the piano.
From 2002 he is the choir and orchestra conductor of Cappella Musicale Arcivescovile “Santa Maria dei Servi” of Bologna.
From 1998 he is the director of “Corale Quadriclavio” of Bologna (www.quadriclavio.it).
With these ensembles he has performed most of the major works for choir and orchestra: Messiah by Handel; Stabat Mater by Rossini; Requiem by Verdi (also performed in the prestigious Gevandhaus Leipzig on 29 June 2014), Faurè’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem (done also in Duomo di Ferrara, 2003); Messa dell'incoronazione, Missa Brevis in Fa magg., Missa Brevis in Sol magg. Vesperae solennes de confessore, Litanie Lauretane, Litanie de Venerabili Altaris Sacramento, Regina Coeli (all), Te Deum by Mozart; Stabat Mater, Nelsonmesse, Te Deum, Salve Regina by Haydn, Missa Sancti Jeronimi by M. Haydn (cooperating with “Bande des hautbois” from Belfort, France), Grande Messa in si minore, Magnificat from Bach, Gloria, Magnificat, Beatus vir, Lauda Jerusalem, Laudate pueri by Vivaldi and others pieces for soprano and orchestra by both Vivaldi and Mozart, Stabat Mater from Pergolesi. He partecipated in the making of La Boheme e Tosca from Puccini, L’Elsir d’amore from Donizetti, Cenerentola e Il barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini.
He also performer the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Symphony by Beethoven, Schubert’s “Great”, Mozart’s “Jupiter”, Mendelssohn’s “Italian”, Symphony n.44 from Haydn; concerts for piano and orchestra K414 and 488 by Mozart; Eine Kleine Nacht Musick still by Mozart; 4th Brandenburgisches Konzert from Bach, and many concerts from Vivaldi and Pergolesi, the concert for two pianos and orchestra by Poulenc, the concert for sax and orchestra from Iber.
He has been participating in important italian TV-transmissions as vocal coach (24000 voci, 2010; Ti lascio una canzone, 2011- 2012-2014; Standing Ovation, 2017), as vocalist (Ballando con le stelle, 2011-2012-2013-2014-2016) and as keyboardist (Ballando con le stelle, 2018).
